The Brookings Institution announced its Center for Universal Education (CUE) in the Global Economy and Development program received US$24 million from LEGO Foundation, the largest grant in Brookings' century-long history.

More than 130 teachers at public schools across Chile have graduated from a training program designed to boost computer science proficiency in the classroom. With less than 1 per cent of public school students in Chile achieving advanced levels of digital proficiency, Fundación Kodea and BHP Foundation developed a project, IdeoDigital, to train and empower teachers to introduce computer science classes.

Congratulations to Mr. George Pantazis of Marble Bar Primary School, who has received the Australian 2022 Prime Minister’s Prize for Excellence in Science Teaching in Primary Schools. George was recognized for combining western pedagogy with First Nations culture and knowledge in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) programs. Using two-way learning, he empowers students to become teachers and showcase First Nations science to the world.
